Author's Tea

May 7th was a big day for the 4th graders. All year long the students have been looking at a variety of writing styles by authors and then writing their own books as well as eight class books. On this day we gathered together with our guests to share our works of art. They were stars for the evening!

Kansas City Track Meet

Saturday was an exciting day for Holy Cross 4th-8th graders. Many traveled to Kansas City to participate in the Kansas City track meet. This was the first track experience for three of the 4th graders. They did a great job!

An "Egg-citing" Day in the 4th Grade

The 4th graders were put to the test to come up with a way to keep a raw egg from breaking when dropped from the roof outside our classroom. They worked in small groups to come up with a design and materials and then had fun assembling their works of art. Kent joined the adventure and helped by dropping their creations. Not one of the eggs broke! Success!
