Shadows of the Past

One hundred and one years ago this month the great Titanic left on its maiden voyage to never reach its final destination. The 4th graders traveled back in time for about a week to study this time in history. They were greeted by Captain Smith and welcomed aboard as they were given their boarding passes. They each became a passenger on the Titanic for that week.

Activities were centered around the "Unsinkable Titanic."

Singing to God's Glory

On Tuesday the students in Grades 3-5 sang for a group of adults at Life Ventures. Life Ventures is a nonprofit, interfaith community of adults that meet at East Heights United Methodist Church. They meet together for educational and social activities. Our students performed a concert of music that highlighted the year's performances. They did a fantastic job in praise to God!

Gathering of the Talents

On April 6th over 1500 students participated in the Gathering of the Talents at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. 19 of our own students from Holy Cross participated by either traveling to Concordia to perform or by sending creative writing or works of art. Holy Cross was well represented with Excellent, Superior, and even an Outstanding rating. Anna entered a poem she wrote, and Emily was chosen to have a piece of her artwork entered. Both received Superior ratings. Congratulations! We are proud of you!
